Hide cold bottled beer at the beach!

I ran across this must have coozy that is very stealthy. With fines for drinking on the beach of $500 or more, you have to take those extra steps to hide your glass bottle and not get caught drinking in public. What I like best is that it keeps your drink cold. The second thing is that it does an epic job of holding and protecting a glass bottle which can break. Lastly, well we all like beer at the beach but drinking in public can be a no-no and a big hassle if you get popped. Hide your beer in one of these and you can chill without a worry. If you like what you see buy the Bottle Keeper by using this link below. It not only supports me but you get to connect straight with the team at Bottle Keeper...

Review: Bully’s hot water rinse tank

Hi Everyone, I just wanted to show case my new find that I’m really enjoying. We as you know the temps are dropping just a bit now that we are at the end of September. Most mornings after my surf it is still in the mid 40’s and while I have a new wetsuit that keeps me warm I need to clean up before heading strait into work. I have known about this product for some time and I have used other similar product with pumps and shower heads etc. I find that this one is the best for my needs. It is simple, no parts to break, easy to fill and keeps the water warm. I just a hot water ( about 10 degrees hotter than you would use for a normal shower, four hours later is still feels amazing as you warm up quickly plus rinse your suit too.)  The cost is a bit more than you would expect but now that I have used it I’m very happy I bought it  you will be happy and have plenty of hot water to share. You can buy it at Wetsand.com use the link below...

Review: AM2 Tech Flex Surfboard Fins

Review: AM2 Tech Flex Surfboard Fins

I tried out these AM2 Tech Flex fins on 3 different boards as a quad and a thruster set ups.  I do have to say that these fins are to large for a guy my size ( 153lbs) and with the speed of the waves we have been having they are just to stiff.  The best times using these fins were at the  beach breaks where  waves  waves were racing down the line.  Could feel the flex in these fins most of the time but they were just a bit to large for me to get them to whip/spring me out of my turns.  Most of the time they gave me to much drive delaying my change in direction I was looking for.  With that said I will be dropping down a size and report back.  This is exactly why I love the Finactic fin testing program as you can experiment without the cost of buying a set of fins. Boards tested on Firewire Tomo Vanguard 5’6″- wave size 2-5ft reef and beach break.  Set up was as quad ( ok in beach breaks like Marina and Waddel), as a thruster ( poor – fair most of the time) Spots ridden Sewers, The Lane, Moss, 1st Peak, The Hook. Firewire V4    6’0″  Step up board for me.  The wave size was 5-8ft beach break and reef (Moss, Sewer Peak,  Rockview when set up as a thruster the board work very nice as the surf had a bit of power.  I never did try it as a thruster. Review: The Pickle Wax Remover

Review: The Pickle Wax Remover

This is a must have product that just works so much better than the liquid wax removers that I have used in the past.  This works 2x as fast, much cleaner and seems to never wear out.   The only thing close is using beach sand but if you are not at the beach this is a good alternative and you won’t get stink eye from the beach hippies. I’m not a big fan of cleaning boards but with this tool it has made the job so much better and I don’t have to wear gloves, have a roll of paper towels or use any chemicals. Also, there is no smell and very little residue left over. Liquid wax remover- It does work well but it does smell and requires towels, can spill and is not as fast as the pickle. Cost is $8-$10 bucks               The Pickle-  Killer tool, comes with storage bag, flexible wax scraper and sticker for your Prius.  Cost about $13 bucks....

Review: Finatic fin testing program

What can I say I love the Finatic fin testing program. I have been a member for about 6 weeks now. So far the shipping was fast for a company having to ship fins across country to me in Santa Cruz.  The quality of fins they have is amazing, with over a hundred options and combinations to try. Even the customer experience has been really good. I called because I was having a bit of trouble setting up my que for my wish list of fins to try so I emailed them.  I got an email back with the person’s phone number who I should reach out to.  I called and spoke with a rep and not only did I get some help but I got advise on the 1st set of fins to try based on the boards I was wanting to start my testing on. Well done Finatic!  I will keep this post updated as I have more experience with the company.  ...
